You have the power to create a society in which peace and justice thrive. The Sisters of St. Joseph offer a way to exercise that power and do a lot with a little. Today, when most people have little to give, we are asking many people to help a little by answering “I’m In” to this initiative. Times are hard. If we are not bold enough to ask for help for those who are in need, then what will happen? We turn to you now to meet the challenge of today by supporting this network of strong and long-established programs. Members of the Sisters of St. Joseph community of Sisters and Consociates want to encourage families and friends to learn about and to support this work by contributing $50 a year to the I’m In! fund. These are some examples of the effective programs your gift of just $1 a week will support: Free health care for an uninsured person or family through St. Mary’s Health Clinics, or  Learning in Style, the program that teaches language skills, computer skills, literacy and basic education to adult immigrants from over 80 nations, or  A safe home at Sarah’s…an Oasis for Women for victims of torture, abuse, or seeking asylum  Friendship and a hot lunch for people who are homeless or isolated at Peace House, or  The St. Joseph Worker Program for young women who volunteer for a year’s service in many CSJ ministries. The Sisters of St. Joseph live by the rule of “possumus,” the Latin term meaning “we can!” Together, WE CAN make a difference!
